¡Hello Everyone!
After 1 year and a half studying biochemistry,
I have realized that this career has a great contribution to the society and the
world in which we live. From understanding how a cell works to the development
of procedures that allow saving the life of a human being, an animal or
directly the ecosystem in which we live.
Studying biochemistry is not only about
learning and memorizing certain biochemical processes, but also about the
ability of scientists to understand and transmit this knowledge to the population
based on world well-being. In this context, biochemistry can intervene in fields
of medicine, pharmacology, scientific dissemination, ecology, among others.
Personally, I see myself in a few years
transmitting my scientific knowledge to the objective and non-objective
population, being part of the advances and changes in science, specifically in
the field of biomedicine, that arise every year always with the intention of
ensuring a science that is used for the common good and not for bad deeds.
Finally, I would like to point out the importance of biochemicals in the current pandemic, analysing PCR tests, disseminating knowledge of the virus to the population and, above all, being part of the research that allowed us to better understand the virus and develop vaccines against it.
